Task appetite

Here’s how to never feel like you’re racing the clock at work again:

Have an ‘appetite’ for each task in your to-do list.

Instead of deciding how long it DOES take…
Decide how long it will take, THIS time.
Then shape the work to fit the time you’ve given it.

Example:
If it ‘normally’ takes 2 weeks, but you only have 1, that’s fine. Shape what a ‘1 week version’ looks like.

If everyone agrees on the scope, you’re fine!
If they don’t, they’ll give you 2 weeks!

No more clock chasing.
