I’m really sick at the moment.
Pushed too hard and my body responded yesterday with a kind, but stern, message:
“Take a break.”
I ignored it, and proceeded to lug huge bags of silage and rubble for four more hours.
Only to be told again, a little more sternly:
“Take a break”.
This time it wiped me out. Not sure where the weekend went. Still feeling it.
Here’s the lesson:
There are no awards for pushing too hard. And no shortcuts in ignoring your body.
Our pursuits are privileges to enjoy, not sentences to serve.
